(Revised 2025)
Entries received by the Test Secretary for Tests must be postmarked/timestamped no earlier than January 15 of the test year for active members. Nonchapter members – February 1st is the first date allowed for test entry. Electronic applications via the NAVHDA membership Portal are allowed. Test Entries via USPS with payment are allowed. No Test entries via email are allowed.
Payment shall be via PayPal or check made payable to Sebasticook Chapter of NAVHDA. Entries are on a first come, first serve basis. A test entry is NOT complete until both test entry AND payment have been received. Payment must be received within 48 hours to hold your spot in the test. Confirmation: An e-mail message will be sent to all handlers upon receipt of the test entry form & Payment. If you are placed on a waiting list for the test, you will be notified of this as well.
If a test entry has missing information upon submission, please notify the Test Secretary and leave those spaces blank, given information is pending. This will be acceptable; however, the given information, such as Dog registration number or an owner or handler membership number, will need to be provided to the Test Secretary prior to the test.
Please be aware:
- Changing Handler is allowed; the Test Secretary needs to be notified.
- Changing from UPT to UT or vice versa is allowed; the Test Secretary needs to be notified.
- Changing from NA to UPT or UT will not be allowed.
- Substituting dogs is not allowed. If you pull a dog, but want to run another, and the test is full, you will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list.
- Wait list entries will move into the running list in order as openings occur. Wait list slots are first-come first-serve. Wait list slots are test-level specific.
Test Running Order
The test running order is determined by draw at the Pre-Test Clinic, prior to the first day of a test. Females in heat will run last on a given day. The running order is always subject to change by the judging team and the needs for the configuration of the test. Should a dog be pulled subsequent to the drawing, the next dog on the waiting list will be moved into that slot.
Cancellations and Refunds
If you pull your dog from any test, the Sebasticook Chapter of NAVHDA Test Secretary must be notified by email at uplandhuntress@myfairpoint.net. Your entry fee, minus any online charge, will only be refunded for the following reasons:
- A medical condition arises for either the dog or the handler which must be documented by a Doctor’s or a Veterinarian’s note.
- You are on the waiting list and no openings occurred to permit you to test your dog.
- NO REFUNDS for any other reason. If you are on the waiting list and offered a slot in the test and you decline that offer, you WILL NOT receive a refund. If you have entered more than one test and pull from a subsequent test, you WILL NOT receive a refund.
